Cycling Refrigerated Dryers
Due to seasonal variations or shift usage, most compressed air systems operate with varying flow profiles. Zeks HeatSink refrigerated dryers are designed to address the realities of compressed air usage, consuming only the electrical energy necessary to meet the actual demand for dry compressed air.
HSJ Series HeatSink dryers incorporate Zeks True-Cycling operation that cycles the dryer refrigeration system on and off in response to variations in compressed air demand. This results in exceptional energy efficiency for supplying high quality compressed air. In response to compressed air system demand, the dryer refrigeration system automatically cycles on and off to cool a thermal storage media. This media is circulated through a media-to-air heat exchanger, designed specifically for compressed air dryers, thereby cooling the compressed air and delivering dry air to the compressed air system. Condensed moisture is efficiently removed from the air stream via an automatic condensate drain.

Zeks introduces the next generation of sustainable air treatment solutions with the HeatSink True-Cycling Refrigerated Air Dryers. Built upon Zeks’ flagship HeatSink technology, this innovative series combines proven principles of energy conservation with advanced features to meet the demands of your industry. The HeatSink True-Cycling dryers utilize R513A and R454B refrigerant, offering a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) while providing superior moisture and particulate control with integrated pre- and post-filtration. In response to compressed air system demand, the dryer refrigeration system automatically cycles on and off to cool a thermal storage media.

HSG Series HeatSink dryers include the newest design innovations and operating efficiencies from Zeks. Energy savings result from True-Cycling operation which cycles the dryer refrigeration system in response to compressed air demand, while an advanced control system optimizes dryer performance. In response to compressed air system demand, the dryer refrigeration system automatically cycles on and off to cool a thermal storage media. This media is circulated through a multi-layer heat exchanger, thereby cooling the compressed air and delivering dry air to the compressed air system.

NC Series & CFX Non-Cycling Dryers
Where compressed air usage is consistent, the combination of low pressure drop and compressed air-specific components make Zeks Non-Cycling dryers an efficient and economical air drying solution. NC Series dryers are particularly well-suited for applications where system demand is constant.
NC Series / Multi-Module Series Non-Cycling dryers provide economical compressed air drying and are particularly well-suited for applications where system demand is constant. Their low pressure drop design and robust components make these dryers a logical choice for supplying high quality compressed air. NC Series / Multi-Module Series utilize a direct expansion design, where environmentally friendly refrigerant exchanges heat with hot, wet compressed air within Zeks patented all stainless-steel heat exchangers. Condensed moisture is separated from the air stream using Zeks proprietary moisture separators and discharged via a standard timed drain. Multi-Module Series dryers consist of multiple, independent modules that share a common inlet and outlet header, permitting expansion of the dryer as the user’s air system needs grow.

In 1994, Zeks set out to engineer a heat exchanger technology specifically designed for compressed air dryers with three basic goals: Durability (provide long term performance in harsh environments), Efficiency (minimize pressure drop to maximize system efficiency), and Consistency (ensure uniformity and repeatability of manufacture). After six years of research and development, the revolutionary Corrugated Folded heat eXchangers — “CFX” for short — began appearing in Zeks HeatSink and Non-cycling refrigerated dryers. With this unique design, compressed air drying customers could now get an exchanger technology designed specifically for compressed air dryers that provided industry-leading durability with extremely low pressure drop using patented automated manufacturing processes.

ZPB Eclipse Heatless Dryers
Desiccant dryers from Zeks dry compressed air to extremely low moisture levels for use in applications where the presence of even minimal moisture can’t be tolerated or where environmental conditions demand it. The twin-tower design allows simultaneous compressed air drying and desiccant regeneration — without interruption to compressed air flow.
Zeks ZPB Eclipse Heatless Purge Dryers remove moisture from compressed air to achieve dew points from -40 °F to as low as -100 °F. The ZPB’s simple yet thoughtful design uses dry air to regenerate the desiccant media and requires minimal maintenance. ZPB Heatless Desiccant Dryers use desiccant media in a twin-tower design and a process of heatless desiccant regeneration to make available very dry air for critical applications. Reliable switching valves alternate flow between the two towers for simultaneous drying and desiccant regeneration for a continuous supply of dry compressed air. Dryer operation is automatically controlled by a reliable solid state controller or optional digital controller that provides energy savings operation and connectivity for remote communications.

ZHA & ZBB Eclipse Series
For larger air systems where energy efficiency is critical, Zeks offers heated purge and blower purge desiccant dryers. These systems minimize the volume of dry compressed air required for regeneration, enabling use of the full compressor output downstream of the dryer for critical applications.
Zeks ZHA Eclipse Heated Purge Dryers remove moisture from compressed air to achieve dew points from -40 °F to as low as -100 °F. The ZHA uses heated purge air for desiccant media regeneration to minimize the volume of dry compressed air required therefore saving energy. ZHA Heated Purge Desiccant Dryers use desiccant media in a twin-tower design and a process of heated desiccant regeneration to make available very dry air for critical applications. High performance switching valves alternate flow between the two towers for simultaneous drying and desiccant regeneration for a continuous supply of dry compressed air. Regeneration air temperature is raised via the on-board heater to reduce regeneration volume requirements. Dryer operation is automatically controlled by a reliable digital controller that provides connectivity for remote communications.

Zeks ZBB Eclipse Blower Purge Dryers remove moisture from compressed air to achieve dew points to -40 °F. The ZBB provides its own source of regeneration air, permitting the full air compressor output to be available downstream. ZBB Blower Purge Desiccant Dryers use desiccant media in a twin-tower design and a process of heated desiccant regeneration delivered from an on-board blower to make available very dry air for critical applications. High performance switching valves alternate flow between the two towers for simultaneous drying and desiccant regeneration for a continuous supply of dry compressed air. Purge air flow is generated by the on-board blower and the temperature is raised by the dedicated heater, which enables use of the full compressor output downstream of the dryer. Dryer operation is automatically controlled by a reliable digital controller that provides connectivity for remote communications.

MPS Hydronix & ZMA Modular
For smaller air systems, laboratory applications, or point-of-use installations where space is limited, Zeks offers compact desiccant drying solutions with the same reliable twin-tower performance as their larger counterparts.
Zeks MPS Hydronix Heatless Purge Dryers remove moisture from compressed air to achieve dew points from -40 °F to as low as -100 °F. The compact design of the MPS Series enables placement at point-of-use or where space is limited. MPS Heatless Desiccant Dryers use desiccant media in a twin-tower design and a process of heatless desiccant regeneration to make available very dry air for critical applications. Reliable, electrically operated valves alternate flow between the two towers for simultaneous drying and desiccant regeneration, delivering a continuous supply of dry compressed air. Dryer operation is automatically controlled by a reliable solid state timer that can be configured for annunciation of optional alarm conditions.

Zeks ZMA Modular Heatless Purge Dryers remove moisture from compressed air to achieve dew points to -40 °F. ZMA dryers feature low operating noise and compact design ideal for laboratory or point-of-use applications. The modular design delivers reliable twin-tower heatless desiccant regeneration in a compact footprint that fits where space is at a premium, making it a go-to solution for laboratories, small production cells, and critical point-of-use applications where air quality cannot be compromised.
