Authorized Texas Distributor
At Sterling, they have more combined, real-world experience of condensate management than anybody else. Sterling oil/water separators, auto-drains of all types, 3rd party service kits, and airline filters are available from stock, with a helpful team on hand to offer advice. Their product keynotes are simplicity of design, ease of selection, installation and maintenance, quality in manufacture, and performance in operation. Innovative Oil Solutions provides full sales, service, and support for the complete Sterling Separation product line across Texas.
Oil/Water Separators
Sterling oil water separators were designed by their team, because they understand condensate management. They incorporated decades of specialist knowledge into their unique solution to a world-wide problem. Their separators don’t use gravity pre-separation, so there’s no separate oil container. They don’t use carbon filters — theirs are lightweight, dust-free, and last twice as long.
The CS75 has the capacity to handle the condensate from any 15 HP compressor, yet requires only a simple “no tools” cartridge replacement taking just a minute or two every 4,000 hours running time. Connection is quick too as CS75 has push-in connectors as standard. You get a time-in-service indicator as a reminder that maintenance is due, and the unit can be mounted either on wall or floor using the supplied accessories. CS75 is a unique product, patent protected and available only from distributors of Sterling Separation products. The CS75 should always be used with auto-drains.

The mid-range separators CSR150 to CSR3000 (from 150 to 3,000 CFM) are as easy as can be. Supplied fully assembled up to CSR1000 and offering configurable installation options to suit site conditions, the CSR range is unique — it’s easy to install and use, and totally reliable in operation. Models from 150 to 3,000 CFM have flared bases that offer stability, while their internal design ensures that the filter bags cannot deform to block the deep outlet channels. Features include brass threaded inserts, twin test points, a sample jar holder, and a time-in-service indicator. CSR2000 and CSR3000 incorporate the CSEQ3 condensate splitter manifold, ensuring equal flow to the separator towers. CSR models from 3,500 to 7,000 CFM are large separators designed to remove oil from compressed air condensate down to levels sufficiently low for discharge to the foul sewer.

For larger systems where the plant is running multiple compressors producing over 3,000 CFM, Sterling offers exactly the same technology, but housed in a commercially available IBC — keeping the capital cost to a minimum and extending the service periods to a maximum of up to 16,000 hours. Every two years of operation a new IBC, pre-filled with media, replaces the spent one; the existing connections and pressure relief chamber are re-used. There is no separate oil container to deal with and there is only one filter disposal to arrange per two-year period.

Condensate Drains
Sterling Separation offers a range of condensate drains from simple yet reliable timer operated devices, float drains, zero-loss drains, and an intelligent hybrid that offers timed operation coupled with an air-saving condensate sensor. The cheapest drain to buy is not necessarily the least expensive to own — compressed air comes at a cost, and wasting it every time your condensate drain opens adds up.
The simple timer controlled drain is probably the most frequently installed as it’s very reliable and has a low capital cost. Sterling’s selection includes 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ sizes optimised for condensate discharge, with adjustable open and interval periods. Open or discharge time is adjustable between 0.5 and 10 seconds, interval period is from 30 seconds to 45 minutes. Available with or without a ball valve and strainer according to customer choice, although Sterling always recommends installing a strainer to protect the drain valve. One-piece brass drain with integrated ball valve and strainer available. Multiple voltage choices offered.

Zero loss drains collect condensate as it forms, monitor the level and expel it under system pressure — either for a predetermined period or until the level in the collecting vessel has reduced by a pre-set amount. The monitoring is normally done by a capacitive sensor. Properly installed and maintained, these drains can save hundreds of dollars per year compared with a timed drain. Sterling’s carefully chosen selection of zero loss drains incorporates the best of currently available technologies with options for both local and remote alarms, built-in and easily serviceable strainers, and flexible installation. The Sterling EMD12 is designed to provide safe and reliable condensate removal in smaller systems up to 310 CFM, with a modular design and easily accessible strainer that can be removed for cleaning while the drain remains installed.

Filters & Elements
Sterling offers a comprehensive range of compressed air filtration products — inline filters for removing particles, water, oil aerosols, and hydrocarbons from air lines. Aluminum housings with replaceable elements for different micron levels, plus a premium filtration range for higher air quality requirements.
Sterling’s compressed air filtration range includes particulate filters, coalescing filters for oil aerosol removal, and adsorption filters for hydrocarbon and odor removal. Aluminum filter housings with replaceable elements are available for different micron levels to match your air quality requirements. The premium filtration range provides enhanced performance for applications requiring higher air quality standards. Sterling also offers a comprehensive range of 3rd party replacement filter elements compatible with major OEM brands — providing cost-effective maintenance options without compromising on quality. Use the Sterling Filter Finder tool to look up your existing element number and find the compatible Sterling replacement.

OWS Service Kits
Sterling offers a wide range of 3rd party service kits to fit most popular oil/water separators — either in current production or discontinued. Keep your separator performing at peak efficiency with genuine Sterling media or compatible replacement kits.
Sterling offers service kits for their own CS75 and CSR series separators, plus a wide range of 3rd party service kits to fit most popular oil/water separators including BEKO, Ultrafilter, Domnick Hunter, Jorc, Atlas Copco, Sepura, and many other brands — either in current production or discontinued. Sterling’s advanced filtration media is non-carbon based, made from 100% recyclable materials, and is the most effective solution to oil water separation with its long life and outlet concentrations as low as 5 ppm, even with synthetic lubricants. Sterling media versus carbon: twice the oil capturing capacity, half the contact time, doesn’t settle, crush, or fracture. Clean, dust-free, easy handling service bags for quick replacement.
